Through years of experience, I've found these eight pillars to be critical in learning an instrument.
Filter lessons by any one of these pillars. Some lessons might have more than one pillar attached to them.
Reading
Rhythm
Technique
Chords & Comping
Accompaniment & Repertoire
Arranging
Improvisation
Composition
Lesson Tags
Lessons have been 'tagged' to make sorting and filtering easier.
As the database of lessons increases new tags may be added but we've tried to not overload you with too many tag choices.
To filter by a specific tag, click on the box next to that tag. To clear the tag filter, click the box again.
Lesson Style
Lessons are broken into styles to make it easier to find the right lesson. If a lesson fits into more than one style, or is based on a concept like "chord voicings" then it may be set to 'Any' rather than a specific style.
Levels
Courses and lessons have been divided into 4-levels. Some will have more than one level attached to them because they benefit students from multiple levels.
If you have been playing for a while, but a concept is new to you, choose a lower level.
