How to get the most out of Jazzedge

You are here:

Most students sign up for Jazzedge and are extremely happy with their results working through our courses.

However, some students struggle to gain traction in their piano practice and achieve the results they are looking for.

Almost 100% of the time, the students that struggle never fully used the resources of the Jazzedge website to their advantage.

This article lays out my suggested course through the site that works for most students.

  1. Start with the courses. The first 6 courses on the main dashboard are laid out in the order you should practice them. These courses will take the average student over a year to feel comfortable with the material. You can move freely to any other course at any time, but if you're feeling frustrated, make sure you've done these courses first.
  2. Participate in the group coaching. I hold group coaching sessions every 2 weeks. During these sessions students can ask me direct questions, regardless of their current level. I can go on and on about coaching, but to keep this brief...just try it once and see for yourself.
  3. Private lessons. For those students who need the personal touch, I do offer private, 1-on-1 lessons using Zoom conferencing software. You book and pay for your lesson and on the lesson day we meet live and I'll also record the lesson for you to watch later.
